RGB Daily is your social newsstand. RGB Daily represents a new class of social network which leverages your interests just as much as your social connections to enlighten and delight. With RGB Daily we have made it easy to not only find quality content, but also form compelling relationships in the process.
For The Community
Our number one goal is to provide the best experience we can in terms of content discovery on the Web. This is about providing quality long form content to our community. This means that we value publishers and their role in making RGB Daily what it is. Stories and news are submitted by trusted publishers, cutting out gaming and spammers.
True Democracy
RGB Daily operates on a true democratic system that drives content discovery. With RGB Daily it’s not a popularity contest and you don’t have to worry about putting in tons of time working the system. Quality content is valuable and the people who help others find it should be compensated with an engaging, rich experience.
The Team
Travell Perkins - Founder
RGB Daily was started by Travell Perkins, Founder, CEO, and Chief Midnight Coder. The project that is now known as RGB Daily came out of ideas Travell developed while working to get his master's at BU part-time in 2007. Back then the idea was called WebCoops. At the time, ideas presented in Chris Anderson's book, "The Long Tail" were very popular; Travell wanted to see if he could put content, discussions, and the social graph together under one umbrella. What was once academic is now real and the industry has made the natural transition. Travell is now committed to making sure his vision remains a best case example of the interests graph. Travell holds a BSCS from MIT and a MSAS from BU. His favorite hobbies include snow boarding, scifi movies, macro economics / environment, and of course the workings of the news business.
Today, Travell is responsible for operations and software development for RGBDaily.com. He is actively looking for sponsors and partners to help take the RGB Daily community to the next level. You can contact him directly using our contact form.
